Creeping Thons, Sprawling Inars

I imagine that somewhere at this very moment, someone is putting together a Webinar about how to run a Walkathon. 

Just a tiny whine today.  I harbor only a modest detestation for the practice of adding a  "thon" to anything charities do to get you to extort money from your friends, although the actual practice seems a bit dishonest.  I guess if charities had to actually get people to subscribe to their causes instead of using this mild form of extortion, it would require a lot more individual fundraising.  Maybe they could put together a Thoninar and save themselves the trouble. 

I just Googled "Podinar," a logical if stupid extension of the "inar" class, and discovered that nobody has webified it yet.  So, as much as I grump about the inars and the athons, you saw it here first.
